Hey! I'm Daniela.
Founder & Owner of Wild Hudson Studio
In addition to being the writer of all the stuff on this website, I am the artist behind Wild Hudson Studio. The name, if you haven’t already guessed, is inspired by the Hudson River and the Hudson Valley. Why?
Because I’ve got some deep roots in New York - in NYC, Westchester, and Dutchess. I was born in the Bronx, where I spent my childhood, before moving to Dutchess County around adolescence. Haven’t left since. Not even for college. I went to Dutchess Community College (for Accounting not for Art) and graduated from SUNY New Paltz (for English: Creative Writing - decided not to become a CPA like the safe route I had originally planned).
Wild Hudson Studio helps support me and my family (and really contributes to my happiness), but I haven’t quit my day job. I’m not in a position to and honestly, I don’t want to. I'm a development and fundraising consultant, which is a fancy way of saying I help some incredible nonprofit organizations get the funding they need to do meaningful work. It gets pretty wild running two businesses. I love them both though, so it’s well worth it.
If you're here to shop, fantastic, but if you're not thank you for being here anyway. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and economy (44% of it!), so even a few clicks make a difference in building awareness of my little shop. You can also follow me on social media and sign up for our newsletter, if ya want to, just keep scrolling down. No pressure though :)
Thank you again for being here!
Much love and good vibes,
